PETSYNERGY MOVED TO THE OLYMPIC PENINSULA JUNE 2006.
PetSynergy moved to the Olympic Peninsula, Washington State on June 3rd, 2006. We have bought 6 acres of land and will be building a Log Cabin home, and an office, there as soon as we are settled, but will be living on the site in the meantime, and business will continue as usual. Please be patient during this time as it will take a little time to get things organized. I am still available for phone and email consultations, as well as supplements and supplies to both existing and new clients. Please email if possible when you need to place an order or have any questions.

Our Temporary Accommodations!
Our somewhat unconventional water supply!
(There is actually a well on the property that produces natural Spring Water from an artesian well, this is just the overflow that runs into a pond but we thought it was cute!)
It is a
beautiful property with a lot of trees and plants, including cedar, Douglas fir, wild
rhododendrons, dogwood and dog roses, as well as abundant berries like salmonberries, wild
strawberries and blackberries.

There is also a lot of wildlife from a nearby eagles nest to our resident beavers, chipmunk and squirrels as well as a natural wetland on the property. On the local beach, which is a short distance away, there are seals and probably otters. It is a huge area for shrimp, clams and oysters too, and the beach also has blue herons, and many species of sea-birds. The property and local beaches, which include a large State park are also on the migration path for the largest herd of Roosevelt Elk, which we were lucky enough to see part of recently. I am looking forward to being able to do more photography there. We also saw humming-birds, bats and heard owls, as well as a garden snake this weekend.

This is the local Post Office:

The new address will be PetSynergy, PO Box 81, Brinnon, WA 98320.
Phone Number is 360-796-3749 (360-SYNERGY) please email if possible. Thank you!

Things are getting more organized and my animals are settling in well, and love it here. They have a safe area to play and lounge, and are definitely making the most of it:

We are seeing lots of wildlife and saw 22 bald eagles on a nearby beach this week, as well as gaggles of geese, hummingbirds, blue heron, a fox, deer, and lots of bugs and butterflies.

August 2006

We are settling in and working on our temporary storage building and office. It is such a lovely area and we are enjoying hiking, exploring the beaches and the wildlife around and on our property. The artesian Spring Water is delicious and the air is clean which makes a huge difference.

Elk and pileated woodpecker on the property.

September 2006
The building is progressing on the office and bunkhouse slowly, but surely, and we are almost ready for the concrete and framing then it will be useable. It has been a hot and dry summer here.

We adopted six chickens and a rooster and they are laying well, except for the rooster of course. It is wonderful to have fresh eggs and you know exactly what went into them! They have rather unique names:
Prince Charming
Mulan - red
Pocahontas - red
Belle - yellow
Jasmine - yellow
Ariel - speckled
Cinderella - speckled

We did not start our garden this year but plan to start in the Spring, in the meantime we have had an abundance of blackberries which have made wonderful jam and blackberry crisps, that were greatly enjoyed by my step-sons this summer!

October 2006
We have been busy working on the building and got the concrete foundation poured and the floor insulated and framed in. Then the walls began to slowly take shape. It was a beautiful Indian summer of a fall, and we enjoyed the changing leaves on the Maple trees, as well as the lovely sunny days.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

November 2006
The month started cold and frosty, and then the rains hit! Luckily we were able to enclose the building and keep it warm and dry. The walls are slowly taking shape, and should be completed by the end of the month, weather not prevailing. The plywood will be covered with cedar siding. We also discovered the stream had waterfalls and the ponds began to fill up too in the last few days.

December 2006
We had a beautiful snow-storm and were snowed in for a few days in late November. It was very calm and peaceful. The bunkhouse/office is coming along nicely, though the weather has slowed things down a little, not to mention the November rains - which were the most ever on record. The siding is almost completed and then we need to put the door on, the windows will be added later, but are already framed in. We moved everything from our storage unit to the property which was helpful. The floor is partially down but needs to be finished in the spring-time.

January 2007
We are enjoying another unexpected snowstorm with clear blue skies and sunshine to complement the icy weather. The chickens even enjoy the snow as does Celeste and the dogs of course! Even the cats ventured out though prefer to be warm inside like most cats. We are ready to work on completing the bunkhouse and start the arduous task of aquiring building permits so we can begin work on the log cabin in the Spring.

OUR FIRST SNOWFALL
FEBRUARY 2006
We have a temporary door on the bunkhouse and have been preparing our home building site, and applied for our septic permit for the house which is the first step of a lengthy process. The weather has been warmer and (relatively) dry and we planted spring bulbs, a little late, but hopefully we will have some spring flowers to go along with the rhodedendrons.
